It is good for light gaming. Such as playing older games or maybe indie titles which are not as intensive or maybe some triple-A titles at 720p and low settings. This laptop had office computing first in mind and maybe some play a little later. Other than that this laptop is still working amazingly well for me. If you want to game and are on a bit of a budget I would recommend a desktop instead. This one has a good processor, an adequate amount of ram for current gaming needs and a somewhat powerful GPU that has gotten me through most games at 2k and other at 1080p
