I didn't realize my question wasn't clear. I'm aware of the user's limitations. My question was how will this particular computer work if used for this purpose?I've seen several references to how slow it is, etc. And I just wanted to be sure it would be reasonably fast if only used for this before we buy it. Thanks!

Please try again later.as a 78 yr old who taught computer use in the '80s, all I can say is 'good luck' -- if you have facebook open, and leave the computer on ... just remind her she may have to log in. That alone is going to result in tech panic!! SORRY, but my age group doesn't deal well with computers when the individual has NEVER used one.
