• This monitor has no built in speakers. you must either use headphones or desk speakers. There is a 3.5mm jack on the monitor.

• This monitor doesn't have built in speakers so I would recomment looking into a good quality headset or speakers

• Does anyone ever use on-board speakers anymore? lol No, they are not connected to my PC's line out port so I can't honestly say that their sound is decent. It is connected to my 2.1 sound system w/ sub-woofer. I did look at other monitor offerings very carefully and for the money and performance, this was the winner, hands down. It also helps that many other users rated Dell monitors very highly, especially as regards longevity. I don't mind spending some money but I also want to get my money's worth out of it. I am confident that I will with this Dell S2716DGR.
