I currently have both my gaming rig and an Xbox One X plugged in, one via Displayport and the other HDMI and the input channel can be changed manually using the buttons on the bottom right side of the bezel. There is freesync which will allow smoother visual framerates that your card should be able to use. As for GSYNC, you may or may not be able to take advantage of this feature as your card is an AMD device but there may be software updates that will allow it to.
