Q: QuestionDoes the headphone jack support input for a microphone? Can my Klipsh speakers connect with the headphone jack? Can a soundcard be added with audio jack on the rear panel?

• A:Answer The Audio jack at the front is Global headset jack to connect headphones or a headset (headphone and microphone combo) and it's not designed for external speakers. Hence the speakers may or may not work. The System contains following PCIe slots One full-height PCIe x16 slot and Two full-height PCIe x1 slots which can be used to add a soundcard with Audio jack on the rear panel

Q: QuestionDoes this computer come with a sound card or the ability to play music? Does Microsoft Word, Excel etc have to be purchased separately? Does adobe acrobat have to be purchased separately?

• A:Answer There is a standard mini-dinn port on the front of the computer only which is not amplified. There is not a "sound card" but a chipset integrated into the motherboard for basic sound output. IMHO, it is suitable for providing sound for Zoom or other but there is no microphone port. Again, no sound ports on the back of the unit. This unit more corresponds to a Vostro than an XPS in older model terminology. The processor is fast.
