“I have a work laptop (Dell Latitude 5420) and a personal Laptop (HP Pavilion) will this work for both of them? Also will this charge both laptops when plugged in. I have a different docking station and it charges my personal laptop but not my work one”

It does charge. I’ve used it with a Dell, a HP elite book 830, and a Lenovo think pad. The HP gives a ‘power source’ message but it lets it charge.
