It depends on what your fan setting is in Alienware Control Center. Mine was running pretty fast as well even when I wasn’t playing games. When I went into Alienware Control Center, it allowed me to make changes to the fan preference settings along with other features.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends. I don't think that it should if nothing else is open and you have good air flow and it is not just sitting on your lap. Also if the games are still open and in the background it will still cause it to use the graphics card and need to keep it cool. Soooo.... If none of those issues are the cause I would probably check that ALL of my drivers are up to date and make sure that nothing is running in the background. Once I finished there and it still occurs, I am out of ideas but it is sensing the need to cool down and until it causes more of a problem it will be tough to pinpoint.
