“How hot is this Laptop supposed to get and what are ways to keep the laptop cool to a suitable temperature? Bought one for my son and it gets extremely hot when he attempts to play a game. He got burnt. Most likely will take it back.”

This laptop has a ton of power in a very small package. It will get very hot. You CANNOT play with it on your lap. I simply have mine sitting on a desk. Any gaming laptop like this will get really hot. As for FPS in fortnight , I doubt the issue has to due with the laptop as much as their internet speed or wifi bandwidth. I’m playing doom eternal maxed out settings on 3 monitors and it is flawless.

Besides really bad fps on medium settings, it gets blazing hot with fans running full blast. I reallllly want to like this laptop though so I'm about to try dropping resolution (1080p) and see if that will help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Get a decent cooling pad. And it needs to be on a desk or some kind of hard surface like any gaming laptop. That being said they still do get way too hot and having the latest drivers is not a fix and dell knows this!! But i got a decent cooling pad of for like 30$ on Amazon. Thatll be your best bet.
