No. The screen is a matte finish, IPS panel. It has a beautiful picture, but could stand to be a bit brighter, in my opinion.

No. Nice laptop, but add more memory up to 16gb to start. ANd unless you have a bunch of attachable storage get a 2TB regular drive as it has a 2nd bay to install one.
