Yes, Google's policy is it will support updates for 6.5 years from the start of the manufacture's series release date. I have that issue with my current Chromebook, it is getting Auto Update Expiration (AUE) this August which is why I'm looking for a new one. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably when google either cancels the chrome book idea, or goes bankrupt. Think of chromebook as an operating system, that the computer manufacturers use that's more kid friendly then full on Microsoft, and as program restricted as apple.
