I bought this model and it had 2 8gb DDR5 4800MHz modules installed. I replaced them with 2 16gb DDR5 4800MHz sticks and it took a while for the machine to recognize them but it finally did. I don't think most of the reps for these companies really even know what they are talking about. I wound up returning it though simply because I didn't like their hard drive configuration. It had 2 different slots for NVMe M.2 drives but 1 was in a 2230 form factor and the other was a 2242 form factor if I remember right. Strange configuration and updating them would have been to costly and maybe a pain in the you know what to configure the BIOS to run the way its supposed to. You wouldn't get any help from Dell because they don't want you to do the upgrades in the first place and it would void your warranty doing it if they found out. If you're really tech savvy and know how to do all that and don't mind spending a bunch of extra money then it would be a great little laptop.
