“What is the max RAM for this machine (the BIOS or motherboard limit)?”

This question is for: Dell - Inspiron 15 3535 Touch Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - AMD Radeon - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Carbon Black

The Dell answer is actually wrong here. The machine's board itself supports 128 GB of memory but the processor model supports up to 64 GB, so 64 GB is the limit for this model. I checked the BIOS memory limit with some system tools and for the processor, that information is available on AMD's website. I'm currently using more than 16 GB.

This laptop supports the maximum RAM of 16 GB in the following configurations: 16 GB, 1 x 16 GB, DDR4, 3200 MHz or 16 GB, 2 x 8 GB, DDR4, 3200 MHz, dual-channel.
