This model has a dedicated GPU. The GPU is an AMD Radeon R7 M445.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It actually has both! It comes with an integrated Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 chip AND an AMD Radeon R7 M440 dedicated 4GB graphics chipset with GDDR5 memory type. Essentially, when the computer is needing to use the dedicated graphics, such as when it is plugged in and needing to be used for gaming purposes, then the AMD graphics card kicks in, and when the computer needs to save energy and does not need the power of the dedicated graphics card, then it uses the integrated Intel chip. You are able to change which applications should use which graphics card/chip as you wish, but I have noticed that it automatically tries to choose the correct one. It is located in the "Switchable Graphics Application Settings." The instructions to get to it are below. Sadly, the computer won't pull it up by just typing it in the search bar. Type "AMD settings," or "AMD" for short, in the search bar at the bottom of your Windows 10 screen. Click on "AMD Settings." Then click "Preferences," which is at the bottom of the "AMD Radeon Settings" screen. Fourth, click "Radeon Additional Settings." Next, the "Switchable Graphics Application Settings" page pops up, where you can assign the graphics settings. Some applications' graphic settings might show "Not Assigned," which means it needs you to decide for it. You don't have to change anything, but I put "based on power source" if I don't know exactly what it should be. In addition, you can click "All Application" and can click on the graphics setting next to the application you want to change. This will allow you to change the graphics setting if the application's graphic setting is not locked. I have added photos to show proof and to help with the instructions I gave above. Also, make sure you are updating the AMD drivers as the primary chipset from AMD's website. I allow it to automatically figure out which driver I have and decide the best driver update that it needs. By the way, the Intel Driver Update Utility states that various Intel drivers can be updated; however, the Intel graphics driver itself cannot be updated, since it has already been customized in the factory because of the AMD dedicated graphics chipset being inside the computer too. Installing a generic Intel graphics driver can mess things up, so don't do it. I hope this helps!
