• You can purchase and external USB drive to use when you need it. By not having an internal drive, the laptop is lighter and thinner.

• No you cannot add a DVD to this computer. It did not list one nor did the ads I saw make any representation that it had one. You MAY add an external DVD using the USB port or also maybe another port depending on what the DVD uses.
