• There is no fan noise from this computer. It does not heat up either. I would recommend this computer.

• I experienced frequent fan noise and heat when idle after copying my data files over from my old PC. Turned out that disk search indexing was getting hung up and running the CPU at 30% constantly. I traced the problem to one specific directory with PDF files downloaded from the same website. After excluding this directory and clicking "rebuild" in Indexing Options, no more fan noise or heat in idle mode.

• In my usage of the laptop, I didn't find any noise unless one is doing heavy graphics use. It doesn't heat up soon.
