• A:Answer I do have an external one and works perfectly, I have the same question because I was willing to have at least 1 Tera, you can change the 500 to 1 Tera, but you will be losing the warranty. so either you buy it for more money since the beginning with one Tera or more, you buy an external or you wait until the warranty is over and change for a bigger hard drive.
