No, this RAM is not soldered. The system has two-SODIMM slots and these are configurations supported for upgrade: (1) 4 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz (1 x 4 GB), (2) 8 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz (1 x 8 GB), (3) 8 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz (2 x 4 GB), dual-channel, (4) 12 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz (1 x 4 GB + 1 x 8 GB), (5) 16 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz (1 x 16 GB), (7) 16 GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz (2 x 8 GB), dual-channel.
