• Considering it's size, it is very light and my wife can easily carry to and from school.

• I love this laptop for home use, but it's certainly not the most lightweight machine out there. If you plan to travel with your laptop everyday, or even multiple times a week, I'd say this isn't the laptop for you, not only in terms of weight but size, too. (When I do travel with it, it sticks out the top of my backpack.) Better to get a 13"-14" machine in that case.
