Do you have the "Internet?" Go to the printer MFG website and click on support and find drivers and software. Find the software for your printer and download it. Your better off doing that every time as the CD software is most likely very old (in computer time) PS Best Buy employees DO NOT answer these questions. Your better off using Google.

But if you have software on a CD that is not available online, you will have to buy an inexpensive USB CD/DVD drive. That's what I had to do. Best Buy had one for less than 30 bucks.
