• "Onboard ram" means soldered memory to the motherboard. LPDDR5X are usually soldered to the mainboard. This laptop's ram cannot be upgraded.

• From what I understand, no as I believe the memory is soldered onto the mother board. If I had known this up front, I would not have purchased.
