Yes you can. however it is not as simple as just going into the settings and shutting it off. you have to mess with the device manager settings and if you are comfortable doing that then go ahead. I had to disable the screen when my Surface Pro screen got cracked. obviously its a tablet but i had a mouse and the type cover so it just functioned like a normal laptop. Right-click on the Start Menu Start. Select Device Manager. Expand the section for Human Interface Devices. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen and choose Disable. do this and you can shut off the touch screen. i've been debating on whether to just get a laptop without a touchscreen cause they can screw you over if they start glitching out but with this work around, it puts my mind at ease. Hope I was helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it works as a regular laptop at first, and then if you want it as a tablet, then you just turn it over and the keyboard will appear automatically. If you don't want to touch the monitor, you don't have to, it will always be touch screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - when you fold the screen all the way back it becomes a touchscreen. In the standard position it's a traditional laptop.
