Mine arrived partially charged, so I was able to connect to home wifi and install updates before connecting charger. It seems to recharge quickly.

The laptop, out of the box, would have some power in it. Hence, you could charge it for 4-5 hours for the first time. Once you turn it on the first time, please follow the instructions for the initial setup process and reach out to the Dell technical support team for any queries or assistance.
