Yes, I had most of the issues reported here, but I was able to fix them. I bought a refurbished unit a few months back for my son to play games, and the PC started to freeze randomly after a while. The keyboard and mouse would stop working, the fan would start when no other software was running, and the PC was not "waking up" after going into the sleep mode. First, I updated the BIOS which fixed the issue with the fan going off for no apparent reason. Then I formatted the hard disk and installed Windows 10 from scratch, and I had no issues with the computer since then. My son plays Fornite daily while Discord, You Tube, and Roblox are running in the background, and everything works just fine. One thing to note is that the fan is too loud when running at full speed. I haven't come up with a way to fix it yet, but this doesn't happen very often.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not use the computer to play games. I use it as a file server for my business and I have not had any problems with it freezing are shutting down. It is a very good computer for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Extremely buggy. Crashes constantly, freezes up constantly, stops recognizing either mouse or keyboard constantly. I use it for work from home, not for games or nything complex, and it is very slow even using just MS Word and a few browser windows open. I've had it for two weeks and have had to reboot at least once or twice every day, and if I leave it on overnight it freezes and I have to reboot in the morning. Sometimes Sleep mode will work overnight, but I'd say maybe half of the time it freezes up in Sleep also and have to reboot anyways. I have had an incredible amount of trouble trying to get it to recognize ANY plug and play USB devices (digital camera, older ipod, even external drive). I had assumed it was all just Windows 10 being awful, but now that I've turned off or uninstalled most of the Windows add-on crap, the computer is still almost useless becuse of constant crashes making it unreliable and time-wasting. Also, this came with TONS of un-intsallable junk from Dell and Microsoft--all stuff I'll never use but all stuff that cannot be turned off or uninstalled, even using third-party override/unintsall programs. This constant-running unintsallable dreck slows down processor and gives you CONSTANT pop-ups and notifications, and sometimes forced-reboots even when you tell it only to reboot or install stuff in the middle of the night. This computer is a perfect exaample of IT developers thinking they are more important than end-users. I will trashcan this machine as soon as I can afford to buy a replcement.
