• Nope, that would have been a nice touch, but I think battery life may suffer and for me, it don't type much in the dark when using my desktop, but if you are using this as a travel set, i could see the benefit of having backlight. I won't buy a laptop without it anymore.

• No, even though it comes up on the list of backlit keyboards when you run Best Buy's consistently inaccurate filtered searches (see attached screenshot).
