Yes you can and cost depends on your selection, I say a good set can run from $40 up.

Yes, and you have to add external speakers because the monitor does not have speakers built in. The cost depends on your preference you could get speakers for $15 or get really fancy speakers.

Yes. You can. You can buy speakers for anywhere from $5 to $500 depending on what you plan to play through them. I hooked up an Altec Lansing speaker system I had just collecting dust. Anything with a standard 3.5 connector will hook up to the monitor or you can use Bluetooth speakers if your computer is. Bluetooth compatible.
