This particular monitor only has the DB 15 VGA plug and also the HDMI cable so if you want to use it with the older legacy operating systems like Microsoft windows XP or Microsoft windows 7 you will need to make sure that the drivers for your older Dell video card will drive this monitor. The question really should be Can the built in video card on your Dell Computer run this monitor that’s how it works
