“I am looking for a monitor that is compatible with my MacbookPro (2015). Is this compatible and what is involved in setting it up (I'm so so techy wise). Do I need to purchase anything in addition to what is included? Thanks!”

I use my monitor with my Dell laptop. The monitor plugs into a wall socket, and another cable plugs the monitor into my laptop. I cannot say if my model of monitor would work with your Macbook. I would think a sales person at Best Buy could advise you on that.
