• I had my monitor installed by a professional. He hooked up my Logitech speakers to my tower, not the monitor itself. They work great. And I love the Dell!! It's like watching HD TV. Everything is so crisp and bright.

• Sorry I cannot help with this question. I bought the screen as a second monitor to compliment my main Dell monitor. I subsequently returned the 23 inch monitor for a larger 27 inch one The newer 27 inch monitor does have spot to hook up auxiliary speakers but can’t attest that the 23 inch one does. Sorry
