No, you will need to plug in the speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so. I'm a using a cheap $99 dollars pic from dell, and plugged it in with the hdmi cable that comes with it, and it works just fine. Maybe check your sound settings?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In case you have a computer with Windows OS, I can suggest you to go to Control Panel -> Sound and select your Playback device. It Dell monitor is not listed there, maybe your HDMI (or VGA) cable doesn't send audio signal, so you need to change it to one cable that does that. I don't have an Apple laptop, so I cannot help you with that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If using HDMI is used make sure the proper playback device is seelected by right clicking the sound icon and selecting playback devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You dont have a graphics card in your computer? Yikes. You can use the on board sound through the monitor as long as you have it connected via HDMI, so if you use VGA that will not be an option. Hope this helped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, however, you will need to enable the monitor speakers in your playback settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this same problem with the 27" version of this monitor. I could not get any sound either. Thank you to the person who said you needed an "audio jack." I have a Dell XPS from 2010 with an HDMI port. The HDMI cable did not work, but a VGA cable did for the picture. But I did have to buy a 3.5mm Auxiliary Audio Cable and plug it in from the back of the monitor to ths back of the computer. That worked for the sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You might need to set the monitor as your default under the sound settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You need HDMI cable that goes from the computer into the Monitor. If you still can't hear the sound connect stereo audio jack from the computer to the monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you don't need a graphics card. As long as your computer or laptop has the ability to output sound, you should be fine - just be sure to use an HDMI connection between the monitor and your computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
