Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this monitor will work well with the Xbox series x and PS5.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why it shouldn't. It's meant for pc gaming which high end pc's are better spec'd than the next gen consoles. Only downside I would say is that this isn't a 4k monitor. But for the size 1440p (2k) is the sweet zone and you can easily get the 120hz refresh rate that both the Series X and PS5 strive for. This is a great gaming monitor with incredible fps up to 165 if you use the dp port for pc. Works well with my ps4 pro and switch too so I think this is a great choice for the next gen consoles without destroying you wallet for a high refresh rate 4k monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this a little over a month ago from best buy. S2721DGF, S2722DGM, S3222DGM, AW2721D, AW3423DW, AW3821DW *1 - The PlayStation does not support the 2560 x 1440 resolution. *2 - The monitors do not support the 3840 x 2160 resolution. *3 - You must select Performance Mode in PlayStation 5 Game Presets. See Frequently Asked Questions for more details. *4 - Only the AW2721D, AW3423DW, and AW3821DW supports VRR on the PS5. Note: The S2721DGF monitor supports HDR but Xbox, and PlayStation only support HDR content in 4K resolution. Hence the S2721DGF does not support 4K, only SDR mode can be used with gaming consoles. NICE SO I SPENT $449 at Best Buy, cant return this monitor and im stuck with SDR when i was specifically told this would max out all my settings. I even bought 8k fiber HDMI cables and still doesnt work. But with my ACER Nitro, same HDMI cables, HDR WORKS PERFECT. This is so misleading. STAY AWAY.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just purchased a PS5. This monitor does not run 1440p or even 1080p at 120hz. I am still maxed at 60hz for games such as Warzone even though the monitor says it can support up to 144hz on HDMI. Thinking about contacting Dell for a refund because the picture quality is worse on the PS5 than on the PS4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do not get this for net gen consoles. To my knowledge we don't know if they will support 2k resolution so that means if those consoles only support 1080 or 4k then you will be playing at 1080p if you get this monitor. Also 165 hz will be higher than the 120 that the consoles will max out at. I think a safer option for anyone getting a next gen console, at least until we know if they will support 2k, is to get a 4k 120hz monitor. Even if the next gen consoles do support 2k will it be optimized like a pc would? will you get extra frames from running 2k? It is all up to the devs and the console providers if they want to optimize that resolution. They have been pushing 4k so I don't think 2k will be a good option for console as it is on PC.
