“How come so many people mention that this $1900 laptop overheats to extremes , and this appears to cause the laptop to fail operating , I need to be able to use this laptop on my lap , literally and or when in bed, I can't have it burning me, or failing.”

Don't buy this laptop. Have had nothing but issues. Battery life sucks. I have spent more time trying to get support for the weirdest issues. And now the capacitive touch strip that looks cool but is not functional has stopped working. And guess what... can't even get into BIOS without it! Spend your $2k on anything else. I should have bought a Lenovo.
