YourDellTeam is completely incorrect with their response to this question. I tested this laptop on several different displays. It will without a problem run an external 4k display. I tested the following setups (HDMI was using the included dongle): HDMI to a 24" LG 4k screen and it displayed 4k. HDMI to a 32" Samsung Smart 4k monitor and it displayed 4k. USBC to a 32" Samsung Smart 4k monitor and it displayed 4k and charged through the USBC. (USBC display and concurrent charging worked through any of the 3 ports) I was even able to connect to the LG 55" OLED TV wirelessly and display 4k (wireless connection at 4k does cause a noticeable latency but it works fine for projecting videos and pictures, not great for gaming)
