You have to be in a completely quiet room with incredibly good ears to hear anything at a distance of 4 feet. You will be suitably impressed! I have never found another computer to be quieter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can be heard, but I had to turn off and back on my computer to determine that. I consider the fan quiet, I think that, for one, it is mounted in the very top of the case, so most of the sound is upward. Secondly my computer is setting on top of my desk. Hope this helps without any way of measuring sound it is the best I can do.
