• Unfortunately, these machines are designed to break. If you can take it back or send it back to the manufacture you should do so. I purchased two of them and both of them broke. I spent the extra money and purchased a Jura machine.

• Sorry....can't answer that question because mine is so new that I haven't had to descale it yet. My suggestion is to call DeLonghi Customer Support; they have been extremely helpful in the past whenever I've called.
