The knob is a 3 way switch (clean, froth, remove). The older models had the adjustable knob and this one adjusts automatically the froth based on drink choice (latte or cappuccino). Step up to a more expensive model for froth control and pure steamed milk. This one does not have milk only option as the better more expensive models have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You cannot adjust the milk froth. The knob on the carafe is for inserting/removing, frothing, and cleaning. I use almond milk and the froth is absolutely fantastic. Before buying the machine I read the reviews and complaints so I was mildly apprehensive, but purchased the machine. I love it and would highly recommend it. The coffees, Frappuccinos, and lattes, are incredible and easy to make.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Was not aware of this. I have only 1 setting on the one I bought but you are right, there is a pic showing a carafe with an adjustment setting. The one setting works very well. Maybe there is a different model of carafe available. If you wanted the one with adjustment, I would check it out at the store before buying. It should show this on the box.

In that order, you insert it, then use the machine and finally use the clean cicle, you can adjust the foam on the settings but after two weeks of use I wouldnt get this machine as the manufacturer settings do not make it practical and makes the automatization of the unit counterproductive.
