Does this work for the acer nitro 5 null

No and yes, it will charge the laptop, as long as you don't touch the cable itself at all. It fits loosely into the laptop. The item they ship isn't even the same one that is in the picture they show.

It will not work with the Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-55-53AG). The Best Buy rep told me it would work, but the end is too small and won’t make a connection to charge at all.
