“I saw that you answer one customer about their Firestick connection; you said connect it to the receiver. Does this mean this receiver will convert my streaming box video also? Or, do I have to hard wire my streaming box to both the TV and the receiver?”

The AVRS540BT has 5 HDMI inputs. It is sometimes preferred to run all sources to the receiver (including stream box, firestick, or apple TV) to the receiver. Then connect receiver to the TV. With my equipment being tucked away in a closet, I currently have a Fire Cube and Blue ray player connected to my Denon receiver, and my receiver connected to my TV. The Fire Cube remote is able to power up the system. This all depends on your system. All five HDMI inputs support Pure Color sub-sampling, HDR, BT.2020 pass- through, Dolby Vision compatibility and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma); full 4K Ultra HD with 60Hz pass-through and HDCP 2.2 processing. Some will prefer connecting all sources to the TV first and using HDMI ARC. HDMI ARC will send audio from all connected sources from TV to receiver.
