• Hello, Unfortunately - like all other AV receivers - the sub-woofer/LFE output is not powered, so an external amplifier would be required for your passive sub-woofer. Because passive sub-woofers vary significantly in their specifications, it's highly recommended to speak with the manufacturer of your sub-woofer about which amplifiers are a good pairing.

• Yes, I use a Polk subwoofer for mine, I use a Bose center speaker, two rca front speakers for surround sound and two Sony speakers for front speakers. Sounds great.
