“I'm looking for a Receiver to only use as a switch between all my different gaming systems and devices. I want to continue to use TV audio and not have to wire up my newly finished basement with Surround speakers at this time. Is that possible with this?”

The receiver has a configuration option to output sound to the TV instead of speakers but spending this much money is overkill unless you plan on adding speakers later.
