Subwoofers that would be recommended for use with this receiver are self powered and the wattage is dependent on which subwoofer your purchase. The receiver has no bearing on the power output of the subwoofer and will work with a line level input on the subwoofer. Using a speaker level input for a subwoofer, which will work, is not recommended for best audio performance in a home theatre environment.
