“I am replacing a dated Yamaha receiver with this Denon. I have an issue with my current set in that when I begin streaming, the sound only comes from the tv, rather than my surround system. What am I doing wrong?”

If you mean streaming from a TV App like Netflix or Hulu, then you need to enable ARC in both the TV and AVR. In the AVR, go into the menu and select Video - HDMI Setup. From there, enable HDMI Control and ARC. Then, go into the TV's menu and enable the TV's CEC option. (Name depends on the TV brand) Also, make sure in the TV's Audio menu the speakers are disabled.
