“We just installed this receiver and when we turn it on in a minute or so it goes from sat to stereo tv. Our tv is satelite we always have the receiver on with tv. Is there something we can do so it stays on sat. Sat is plugged into satellite connection.”

Hi RDR1we, I believe this is because of the TV Audio Switching featue. It's part of the CEC feature set, which I don't use precisely because it does weird stuff like this.
