Yes, but then so does just about any consumer display that you would connect it to (and it's likely that the display itself will offer better up-scaling). Modern displays are 'fixed' resolution so they have to scale any resolution that is not the native resolution of the panel. Obviously some displays do this much better than others so you would have to directly compare the quality of the 'up-scale' between the s960h and the display (with the display being superior in most cases, other than maybe in the case of PC monitors that are best suited for being fed their native resolution).
