Use a 4k hdmi input on the back of the receiver and plug the hdmi into your tvs supported 4k 120 input.

Ideally, if you want 4K/120Hz fed to your TV from the AVR-S970H, then the 4K/120Hz input is the one to use. If you wish for sound from your TV apps (and any connected devices) to be sent to your AVR, you will want to use the e/ARC HDMI port on your TV to the AVR-S970H. Perhaps both the 4K/120Hz and e/ARC ports on your TV are the same.
