Can this units firmware be updated via wifi? null

Hello. Yes - the AVR-X1700H's firmware updates can be done via Wi-Fi. If your Wi-Fi feed to your AVR is not very strong, we recommend hard-wiring your AVR to your router using an ethernet cable for updates as Wi-Fi weakspots/drop-outs can be crippling to a firmware update.
