“I have a center and two bookcase speakers for my TV. Does this receiver, AVR-X1700H, communicate directly with the Denon Home 150s to create surround sound? My current Yamaha uses WIFi and has not worked well with the two wireless speakers. Thanks!”

While the Home series of HEOS speakers do work wirelessly, they are only able to communicate as wireless speakers with any compatible receivers (including the AVR-X1700H) when receiving a regular two channel feed. The Home series speakers cannot receiver a discrete surround sound signal from a 5.1 (or more) feed.
