Hello, the second HDMI out is a Monitor Two out, not a Zone Two out. This will only output the same as the main zone. Zone two audio is possible with the AVR-X2700H receiver allowing the playback of two sources simultaneously. If wanting zone audio and video, please consider our AVR-X3700H or new AVR-X3800H receivers, as they come equipped with Zone 2 HDMI out.
