Any HDMI input will work for the Roku Stick. Each input is assignable, so you can label the input to read 'Roku' should you wish to. The purpose of ARC is for when the TV is the source and therefore the sound from the TV (if - for example - you are using a TV app or an off-air antenna) will be fed back to the receiver so you can listen in surround sound, or any other sound mode offered by the AVR-X4700H. If you do not plan to use your TV as a source at any point, there is no need to use the ARC port necessarily.
