no No NO....This high quality 8k, "state of the art" home theatre unit is not designed for any area exposed to moisture PERIOD!! It does not carry an IP rating due to its intended use or none that I could find. If it did; (BASED UPON MY OPINION), it would be rated at IP50. Or IP503 if a shock/drop rating is required. However, I would personally NEVER RECOMMEND you intentionally drop anything on a home theatre unit or expose it to installation in a HIGH-RISK of damage area. That being said, this unit is well made and should afford you many years of high-quality satisfaction in listening enjoyment. Just use good common sense and reasonable safeguards during installation. Follow all manufacturing documentations, recommendations and requirements.
