You can get both. If you buy it from a REAL store in the basic Xbox One/ Playstation 4 plastic box (see pictures), it is a HARD COPY, with a digital code for all the EXTRAS, INCLUDING THE ANNUAL PASS! But u can purchase it in digital form by buying one of those digital paper n scratch codes, and I THINK also on either Xbox Live Store, or Playstation Store, I THINK???

This not a digital download. Comes with the full box/disc with an insert that contains a code for the extra's associated with the Forsaken material.

There is a hard copy of the D2 in it but the forsaken and dlc's are digital. I have the digital copy and was not wanting to have to put in a disk to play luckily this worked out for me.

Hard copy with codes for the expansion packs.
